Who we are

Konosa (“we”, “us”) is a roadmap planning tool for small software teams, currently in development. This policy covers the Konosa website and app. It explains what personal data we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the rights you have over it.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist: Your email address, and any other details the waitlist form asks for.
When you create an account: Your name, email address and profile image from the sign-in method you choose, the organization you create or join, and your membership in it.
When you subscribe: Your plan and subscription status. Payment details are collected and processed by our billing provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.
What you add to Konosa: Any planning information you enter into the app, such as initiatives, dates and budgets.
If you apply to be a design partner: The answers you submit through the application form, which is hosted by our form provider.
When you use the site: Pages you visit, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, collected through analytics and subject to the cookie choices described below. When something goes wrong, we also collect error diagnostics, which can include your IP address, browser and the page you were on.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. These cannot be switched off.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics stays off until you accept it in the cookie banner. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can decline it in the banner. Advertising storage and ad personalisation are turned off everywhere.

How we use your data

To provide Konosa, including signing you in.
To manage the waitlist and let you know when you can start using Konosa.
To manage your subscription.
To understand how the site is used and improve it.
To find and fix errors, and to keep the service secure.
To respond when you contact us.

Legal basis

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on:

Contract — to provide your account, the app and your subscription.
Consent — for joining the waitlist, and for analytics where your region requires opt-in. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests — for keeping the service secure and diagnosing errors.

Who processes your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Konosa, and only for that purpose:

Authentication and billing providers, for sign-in, accounts, organizations, the waitlist and subscriptions.
Hosting providers, to serve the website and app.
Database providers, to store your account and planning data.
Analytics providers, subject to your cookie choices.
Error-monitoring providers, to find and fix problems.
Form providers, for the design-partner application.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

Waitlist details are kept until you are given access or ask us to remove them. Account data and anything you add to Konosa are kept for as long as your account exists, and for a reasonable period after it is closed. Analytics and error data are kept according to those providers’ retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict how we process it, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email brad@konosa.app. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page.
